The aims of Helpers of Mount Rosary religious congregation are four-fold.

  2. To serve in the hospitals either one’s own or of the church and if necessary, in other hospitals, conducive to the spirit of a religious body
  3. To work in senior citizen’s homes and ashrams
  4. To do village uplift work so that every individual of any community could live as respectable human beings and has images of God almighty

Doing activities in these four-fold aims of the congregation creatively and actively, the Helpers of Mount Rosary are sent by the institute in the name of the church. This is their mission. Thus, the sisters will show the face and life of our Lord Jesus Christ to all people of goodwill and thus they themselves will become other Jesus Christs.

Charism

The charism of the sisters of Helpers of Mount Rosary is three-fold.

  1. The sisters learn from Jesus Christ how to be the servants of the poor and become like Him. He came down from heaven and though being rich as the Son of the Eternal Father whose glory is above all glories, became a servant of the poor. He proclaimed good news to the poor, did good to all people especially to the poorest, taught them to be spiritual by imitating the virtues of His Father and of Himself. But above all, He lived a life of the poor; no house of His  own, walked barefoot in the hills of Palestine, hungered and thirsted like a poor  labourer, showed His compassionate heart towards widows, towards sinners and especially towards the children. He died poor on the cross and He had no grave of His  own to be buried. For this poor and hard life Jesus lived, God rewarded him with a gift of resurrection.
  1. The second Charism of the Helpers of Mount Rosary is to gain the experiences of Christ which He taught on the mountain of Beatitudes, of Mount Tabor and of Mount Calvary.

On the Mount of Beatitudes, Jesus taught eight beatitudes; the virtue of poverty, sorrow and compassion, simplicity and humility, hunger and thirst for justice, showing mercy and compassion, purity and chastity of heart and mind, bringing peace and concord, and bearing up suffering and persecution.

On Mount Tabor,  the father showed the glory and splendour to the apostles to prove the reward He has kept reserved for His  Son Jesus Christ for being faithful to His  will, which is readiness to die on the cross, to redeem mankind from all sins from the beginning of the world till its end. Through this glory of transfiguration Jesus tells He is available to all His  disciples provided everyone willingly takes up the cross of their life and follow him.

On the Mount of Calvary, Jesus was ready and became  an example of the virtue of obedience. This obedience is unto death, and an excruciating death of  crucifixion. Jesus underwent this agony just to show His  deep love to every man especially to the sinner. This experience of Mount Calvary also tells us how Jesus bowed His  will to the plan of God, to die for mankind especially the sinners like us for our redemption and salvation.

  1. The third charism of Helpers of Mount Rosary religious congregation is the way of the Rosary. This way of the Rosary provides a strong rhythm to the life of Helpers of Mount Rosary religious. Rosary is a school of Mother Mary. We learn there to contemplate the beauty of the face of Christ, experience depth of His love and imbibe the depth of the Gospel message. The various events of the life of Jesus and Mary are available to us to meditate and contemplate in the Joyful mysteries, Luminous Mysteries, Sorrowful mysteries as well as Glorious Mysteries. These mysteries which we pray and live daily either individually or in common, mark the rhythm of human life, and this rhythm brings us in harmony with the rhythm of God’s own life in joyful communion of the Holy Trinity.
